Pick a region in the United States from the list:

  1. Northeastern Region
  2. Southern Region
  3. Midwestern Region
  4. Rocky Mountain Region
  5. Southwestern Region
  6. Pacific Region

Look for infomation about:  

  • physical features
  • climate
  • history and culture
  • natural resources
  • economic activities

Make a digital report (slideshow) to the class.

Presentation:  Every group needs to:

  • make at least 12 slides with their oral report
  • each slide needs to include the name of the student who created it
  • submit an interim report by the designated time
  • plan in advance who will be making the presentation


Grade:  The whole project is 25% of the first semester grade.

  • Every group should specify each memeber's role and responsibility on the planning sheet.
  • Grade will be divided as follows:  50% individual grade and 50% group participation.
